RE: Shipping Information for 2020 & 2021
With the holidays approaching, we are heading into the peak season for package delivery in the U.S. As the effects of the Coronavirus impact communities throughout the world, all carriers (parcel and LTL) have announced suspensions of service level guarantees for all shipments from any origin to any destination. This has not been a large issue for us, year to date, but we fear this will change in the next 2-4 weeks.
Liquidyne Process Technologies cannot guarantee delivery dates once it has shipped either from the supplier or our facilities and will not reimburse customers for a service level failure by the carrier. We will update as additional information becomes available.
Below is information from the carriers themselves that was published April 1, 2020.
• FedEx and UPS suspended their respective service guarantees last week, citing expected delays and disruptions related to the global coronavirus response.
• FedEx suspended its global Money Back Guarantee as of March 24 for all FedEx Express, FedEx
Ground, FedEx Freight and FedEx Office services until further notice according to an announcement on the company’s website. “The impact of COVID-19 is causing local, state, and national governments around the world to issue work and travel restrictions on a daily basis which are impacting our ability to meet our high standards of service,” reads the notice.
• UPS suspended its service guarantee indefinitely for U.S. originating shipments March 24 and all other originations March 26, according to the carrier’s website. “The Novel Coronavirus pandemic has created unprecedented complexities, which have required us to constantly reassess our operations,” reads UPS’ statement. Delivery times for some air service have also been extended.
Liquidyne appreciates your business and look forward to our continued partnership in 2021.
