Anti-Galling Clamp
LJ Star offers a full line of Anti-Gall Clamps that are produced to the highest hygienic engineering standards and are constantly being updated in response to customer feedback and industry requirements. The nut and bolt are made of dissimilar materials so that adhesion, or galling, is less likely to occur.
Anti-Galling Clamps are available in a variety of materials, including 304 and 316 stainless steel. With higher quality and durability than lower-grade stainless, 316 stainless is ideal for demanding applications, including pharmaceutical, food/beverage and biotech.
Like all sanitary clamps offered by LJ Star, Anti-Galling Clamps are BPE compliant, which means they meet one of the highest hygienic engineering standards. Since all LJ Star sanitary clamps can be made with anti-galling characteristics, the company can create a customized clamp to suit the unique requirements of any critical processing application.
A patented Anti-Galling Safety Clamp is available for processes that have a vibration or a pressurized line. The half-threaded bolt on this safety clamp keeps the clamp in place and helps minimize safety issues.

Anti-Galling Clamps are designed in accord with the following product specifications:
- Investment casting using ASME SA-351/SA-351M stainless
- Pickled and passivated (removes Òfree ironÓ particles from surface that would ÒrustÓ)
- Heat treated according to ASME SA-315/SA-351M
- Barrel polished and sized using a hydraulic press
