The STC2020900 connector is crafted from high-quality polysulfone, meeting USP Class VI and ADCF standards, with a natural finish and amber tint for visual quality assurance. It offers a seamless connection to biopharmaceutical processing equipment, thanks to its industry-standard terminations and innovative three-port design. This design not only facilitates a true steam-through SIP process, eliminating dead legs but also reduces the need for laminar flow hoods, streamlining the sterilization process and enhancing efficiency.
Sterilization flexibility is a key advantage of the STC2020900, supporting methods such as gamma radiation up to 50 kGy, autoclaving up to 265°F for 60 minutes, and SIP processes up to 275°F for 60 minutes. This range of sterilization options, combined with the connector's valved design and platinum-cured silicone seals, ensures a safe, leak-proof connection that meets stringent hygiene standards. The thumb latch and tear-away sleeve provide additional security and visual confirmation of the connection status, further simplifying the handling process.
Designed for vacuum to 20 psi pressure ranges and temperatures between 39°F to 104°F, the STC2020900 is versatile for a wide range of applications. The patented valve design allows for sterile connection and disconnection, permitting high media flow rates, which is crucial for maintaining productivity and integrity in sensitive biopharmaceutical processes.
