The HFCD22439MHC, a critical component of the CPC HFC Disconnect Series, is engineered to meet the stringent requirements of sterile disconnections in the biopharmaceutical and cell and gene therapy manufacturing sectors. This 1/4" Hose Barb Valved Insert is designed to facilitate secure and efficient disconnections, maintaining sterility across both sides of the system with an easy push of the connector thumb latch. Constructed from USP Class VI and ADCF-compliant polysulfone with an amber tint, the insert is capable of withstanding pressures up to 75 psi (5.17 bar) and temperatures ranging from 34ºF to 104ºF (1ºC to 40ºC), ensuring reliability under a wide array of operating conditions.

At the heart of its design are platinum-cured silicone O-rings and Alloy C-276 flow path springs, which offer unmatched chemical resistance and durability. These materials ensure the insert's compatibility with a vast range of media, while providing the resilience needed to withstand both gamma irradiation (up to 50 kGy) and autoclave sterilization processes (up to 270ºF for 60 minutes). Such versatility makes it an indispensable tool for applications requiring strict sterile conditions, including connections to storage/mixing tanks, SU bioreactors, and transfer lines.
