IMI PBM Sanitary Clean Steam Ball Valves
The IMI PBM Igenix® Clean Steam Ball Valves are part of the CS Cast Series 9 and Forged Series 8, showcasing precision engineering for sanitary applications that require high purity and rigorous cleanliness. These valves are available in sizes ranging from 1/4"to 6", making them ideal for use in industries such as biopharmaceuticals, food and beverage processing, and any system where clean steam is essential.
The design of the Igenix® valves includes a unique Adjust-O-Seal® feature that allows for in-line adjustment to compensate for wear, ensuring long-term reliability and optimal performance. The valves feature a three-piece "swing-out" body design that facilitates thorough cleaning, purging, and draining, thus enhancing maintenance ease and ensuring system cleanliness.
The valves boast several key design elements that enhance their functionality and reliability. The True-Bore® design ensures the valve bore is consistent with connecting tubing, which helps prevent fluid trapping and maintains the integrity of the flow. Direct Mount Actuation provides accurate alignment and increases cycling life, making these valves suitable for automated operations. The valves are constructed from low ferrite 316L stainless steel and are available with options like Hastelloy™ and AL6XN™ for improved corrosion resistance. All materials used are ASME BPE compliant and include USP Class VI elastomers and FDA-compliant materials, ensuring the valves meet stringent regulatory standards. Additionally, the valves are designed for total vacuum ratings and feature both upstream and downstream bubble-tight sealing capabilities, which guarantees operational integrity. In terms of sanitary compliance, the valves'valves' surface finishes do not use Animal Derived Ingredients (ADIs) and meet internal finish standards of 20 Ra ID for Series 8 and 30 Ra ID for Series 9, adhering to the strictest cleanliness and sanitary requirements.
The valves cater to a diverse range of sanitary applications, offering multiple end connections including extended tube and hygienic clamp. The standard white V-TEF™ seats and seals can be customized with alternatives like FKM and EPR O-rings to suit specific requirements.
